The desire for recreation, fitness, or pursuing a career will be enhanced with the process of developmental skills in the core subjects of ballet, tap, jazz, and tumbling. The structured class formats are proficient toward individual nurturing. The opportunities for expansion of performance skills are enhanced through our annual Winter Festival, Spring Recital, area Competitions, and dance workshops..

Accomplishments from our students have ranged from performing in Las Vegas, Cruise Ships, and teaching dance and physical fitness in their own personal studios. Several of our students have held the Solo Titles for Dance Masters of Mid-America, Chapter #34, and represented our Iowa/Nebraska Chapter at the National Level in competition.

When choosing a class it may be a bit bewildering as to which type is best for you or your child. Below we have listed a brief outline of the variety of disciplines offered.

For the well rounded dancer, we touch base with the classical Ballet format exploring character, lyrical, and freestyle. As ballet is the basis of all dance forms, it is a must to have this basic understanding for any form of training. The strength, control, and poise it provides is a discipline most valuable to boys and girls of all ages. The class is then complimented with a study of American Tap. This is a dance form incorporating the element of rhythmical sounds. It enhances one's awareness of balance, agility , and tuning the fine motor skills. It is an ideal opportunity to improve one's self-confidence and personal esteem!

Based on the historical ancient societies; their music, feelings, and religious beliefs; the evolution of "American Jazz" is developed. The styles change continually being influenced by TV, movies, and radio. Our classes offer a study of many formats from Broadway to Street, Big Band to Pop! The co-ordination of individual body isolations, strengthening, and flexibility exercises, jumps, leaps, and turns make this class one of the most appealing to dancers of all ages. A minimum age of 8 is required.

For the more serious student interested in extensive training, Pointe is offered. Students may be considered for this class after three years of Combination Class, a minimum age of 10, and teacher recommendation.

Floor exercises and tumbling tricks are taught on an individual basis in a protective ladder of skills. Proper technique and body strength are required and nurtured in a carefully devised pattern to help insure the safety of the student. This class helps improve strength, coordination, and flexibility.

For those students interested in the positive performance aspect, who are able and willing to give a total commitment of time and practice that a good team requires. Please consider these factors: time, effort, and finance. All members must participate in weekly combination, technique, and jazz classes. Auditions TBA - Check our Bulletin Board
